Learn Swedish in short written lessons, with explanations in English and examples in Swedish. The course has five levels, from A1 for beginners to C1, and each level has its own chapters, so you can see your progress level by level.

The levels

  1. Swedish A1, Beginner

    Greet people, talk about yourself, your family, your home and your day, shop, find your way, make plans and say what you did last weekend. No Swedish needed to start.

    Read all nine chapters, from Meeting People to Work, Health and Weather. A free account opens the Learning Path and saves your progress.

    Handle everyday situations, talk about the past and make simple plans.

How the lessons work

Each lesson is a short written page about one idea. The explanations are in English and the examples are in Swedish, and every chapter ends with a reading text, a dialogue and its vocabulary. Lessons and vocabulary are free to read without an account. Audio for the lessons is planned.
